Re-opening Project Blue Book? (from Reuters)

When I was a kid, I was very much into the whole UFO thing. Whether it was the UK magazine series The Unexplained, or Arthur C Clarke's Mysterious World, or In Search Of (hosted by Leonard Nimoy)...I used to love that stuff.

Anyway, just a mention of Project Blue Book is enough to bring back the memories. It's interesting that this call for re-opening the US's investigation into UFOs takes a post-9/11 slant: it's not focused on finding E.T., but rather asks why we aren't doing more to figure out what these unidentified objects are. Presently, the usual attitude seems to be "OK, so there's weird shit out there" followed by a shrug.

TIME's 100 Best TV Shows of All-Time

In alphabetical order, which at least avoids the "why is x ahead of y?" debates. No glaring omissions, although I find it odd that this list isn't restricted to series - one-off specials like A Charlie Brown Christmas and the 1983 nuclear war TV movie The Day After (that scared the hell out of America) also qualify.

Dan Dare returns...

...written by Garth Ennis. I think I just became a comics reader again. When I was a kid, I would read and re-read a really worn hardcover collection of Dan Dare comics that belonged to either my dad or my sister (not sure which). Used to creep me out.
